Meet Our Trustworthy Dentist Near Frisco
Dr. Deval Parmar
Dr. Deval Parmar always loved painting as a child, and she excelled at it because of her meticulous nature. She believes she inherited this quality from her father, who worked as an engineer and was an accomplished artist in his free time. While in high school, math and science piqued Dr. Parmer’s interest, and upon graduation, she realized that dentistry would allow her to combine all of her passions into one fulfilling career.
Dr. Parmar earned her first dental degree in India, where she obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from MP Dental College. After starting and running her own successful practice for a few years, she eventually made her way to the United States. Here, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Since then, she has continued to advance her skills through continuing education, taking courses focused on dental implants, Invisalign, and laser dentistry. She is also a member of both the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association.
Today, Dr. Parmar has more than 13 years of experience, so she has plenty of knowledge and passion to offer our patients. Her goal is to continue to provide honest, ethical dentistry that has a positive impact on both individuals and the community at large.
Dr. Parmar and her husband, Kuldeep, have been married for over 10 years. He works as a physical therapist that specializes in orthopedics and joint replacement at Baylor, Scott, & White Rehabilitation. They have two daughters named Aadhya and Ameya. Together, they primarily like to spend their time outdoors, both hiking and biking. Her other hobbies include traveling to learn about different cultures, making healthier versions of traditional Indian delicacies, and painting with watercolors.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find the best place to get dental work done?
There are many good dentists in McKinney and Frisco. Finding the place that’s best for you will depend on your priorities and needs. Here are some factors to consider:
- Do they accept your dental insurance plan or offer other ways to save money on care?
- Are they conveniently located near you, and how far are you willing to travel for appointments?
- Do the office hours work with your schedule?
- Does the dentist have any special certifications or qualifications?
- What type of service are you looking for – a routine checkup and cleaning, or something a bit more specialized?
- Do you like the office environment?
- What are other patients saying about the practice?
Once you have a good idea of what you’re looking for, you can explore patient reviews and doctor bios to see if the practice checks all of your boxes. Most dental teams are also very friendly, so don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have!
What is the benefit of an intraoral scanner?
Intraoral scanners like our Carestream 3600 3D color scanner vastly improve patient comfort for treatments that require impressions, such as dentures or veneers. Instead of giving you a gray goop that’s difficult to rinse out, we’ll simply move a small wand around your mouth. Intraoral scanners rarely trigger a gag response, are able to capture much more accurate measurements of your oral structure, and are even better for the environment!
You may have also heard about intraoral cameras. Though the names are similar, an intraoral scanner and intraoral camera have slightly different purposes. The camera is also a small, minimally invasive wand, but is used during exams. Our Carestream 1200 intraoral camera will display highly detailed images of your mouth on our chairside monitor so you can see exactly what we see. It’s very helpful for diagnostics and for explaining your treatment options more clearly!
What counts as a dental emergency?
More situations than you might think. If you visit our emergency dentistry page, you’ll see that we list examples like toothaches, sensitivity to hot and cold, broken dentures, and even jaw pain. Basically, if your mouth, lip, teeth, or tongue are injured or hurting, it counts as a dental emergency.
That said, there is one specific instance where it’s better to go to the nearest ER. If you develop a fever or notice other signs of infection, an ER will be better equipped to take care of your immediate (and urgent!) needs.
Can a dentist spot oral cancer?
Yes! In fact, Dr. Parmar performs an oral cancer screening as part of your routine checkup and cleaning appointments. Her professional education and experience make her well-qualified to determine the difference between a relatively harmless canker sore and a concerning bump that should be investigated further.
This is one of the many reasons we recommend scheduling checkups and cleanings every six months. When oral cancer is identified early, it’s extremely treatable. As it progresses to more advanced stages, however, treating it becomes more difficult. Having a professional monitor your oral health at regular intervals significantly improves your odds.
