CBCT Scanner

A cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scanner captures much more detailed images than a typical X-ray, with the main difference being that the images are 3D. Rather than just getting a closer look at a few teeth, we can see both rows, determine your jawbone density, locate facial nerves (so we can avoid them), and assess nearby oral structures. The scanning process is painless and usually takes less than one minute.

It is essential in planning complex procedures. For example, if you would like to get dental implants, the CBCT provides a fast and non-invasive way for us to get an in-depth understanding of your oral anatomy. It can also help us plan for root canals and other advanced services. Digital Impression System

If you have had to get impressions in the past, you probably remember a lengthy and unpleasant experience as you had to bite down on a tray filled with goop. If you accidentally moved your teeth before the impression was set, you had to start over again.

Our digital impression system makes that process a thing of the past. We simply move a small wand around your mouth, and it captures thousands of images of your teeth, which then get assembled into a digital, full-color model. The positioning of each tooth is perfectly documented, as is the orientation of your bite. It allows us to provide care that enhances individual teeth, improves overall harmony in your jaw muscles, and lowers the risk of premature breakdown in the future.

Intraoral Camera

We use our Carestream intraoral camera to display live images of your mouth on chairside screens. It can enable us to catch developing dental problems before they start to cause you pain, well before they become expensive to treat.

Our team can use the displayed images to help you thoroughly understand why we recommend a certain treatment, allowing you to work with our team to put together your treatment plan. You get to be an active participant in your dental care rather than just being told what you need, adding transparency and empowerment to the dental experience.

Overjet AI Second Opinion

After we take your X-rays, we will run the images through our Overjet AI software, which will compare them against hundreds of thousands of others. In doing so, it’s able to provide a second opinion, identifying potential areas of concern that we should examine further. This software makes sure that no stone is left unturned at each of your checkups!

Cavity Detection Device

The CariVu cavity detection device uses near-infrared light to illuminate cracks, lesions, and cavities on teeth. In essence, it allows our team to see through the teeth and identify areas that may require treatment. We can often spot cavities before they begin to cause you pain — perhaps even while the decay is still reversible.

Soft Tissue Laser

Our diode soft tissue dental laser uses a highly concentrated beam of light to make dental treatment as comfortable, efficient, and predictable as possible. In many cases, it can completely eliminate the need for sutures and scalpels because, as it treats soft tissue, it also cauterizes. Therefore, there is minimal bleeding, swelling, or soreness afterward. Procedures performed with a laser come with a shorter recovery time and a lower risk of infection than those done with traditional instruments. Our laser can even eliminate the need for local anesthesia because it makes procedures so comfortable.
